Our application process is designed to orient you with the practices and policies of TFA. In the orientation materials, we will cover the basics of using Moodle, as well as emphasizing many of our school policies. You will find that some of the topics that we cover here are common sense, and you will find that others are very helpful.

New students must be 18 years of age. This is the age of majority in most of the United States, as well as many places across the world. Because we are in the United States, we go by the guidelines set here. U.S. Supreme Court precedence has made it clear that parents of minors have the right to decide the way their children are raised, and teaching religion falls into that category. Though this is not a law, this precedence is seen as effective as law in lower courts. Because of the sometimes controversial nature of some of these studies, we do require our students to be 18 years old. If there are any questions, please email admin@fireflyacademy.org.

Once you apply, the Enrollment Committee will review your application and send you a message letting you know if you have been accepted. We will examine:

• Your application - Please read the questions carefully and complete the application to the best of your ability. Applications that are incomplete will not be accepted. Additionally, pay attention to the essay question. We ask for a minimum of 200 words in your essay application. If there are less than 200 words, you most likely will not be accepted into our program, because it will not be a good fit for you.
  
• How active you have been on campus - We love to see folks who are visible on campus before they even apply to become a student. Visit the various forums and communities on campus. Read and respond to the discussion forum posts. Participate in chat room discussions. Ask questions of our teachers and administrators. Make yourself known. We want students who will help build our online community.
